Editing Outside the Box

Outside the Box requires editing during postproduction in order to add in several features. Here is a sample timeline from Adobe Premeire. This process is done on an a weekly basis for every episode.

The most important aspect that is added is the timer and the correct answers. The timer is a seperate video layer that is imposed on the main footage. They must be timed in order to flash at the same time the contestant flips over the card. Correct answers are titles that appear briefly simultaniously with the 'ding' sound effect.

Certain Premiere project files are saved and brought into each episode. This includes the correct answer tiles, the scoreboard title, and music tracks, if needed. Any production mistakes during recording can also be fixed in post, such as smoothing out any transistional errors in between rounds that occured in the studio.
